Things to Know about Soy Wax

We are sure you are going to love soy wax as much as we do. Because soy wax burns at a lower temperature than paraffin wax, it tends to throw a better scent, and burns cleaner and longer. Soy wax is hydrongenated soybean oil that is used as a renewable and biodegradable alternative to paraffin wax in candle making. Soy was investigated due to traditional candle's tendency to produce soot and potentially harmful organic volatiles (e.g. formaldehyde) during burning. Little or no soot was observed from soy wax candles. Low level formaldehyde was detected in paraffin candle fumes, but it was not present in significant quantity in the soy candle fumes.
